Your First Lesson Is Free

Your first guitar lesson with me will be free, just so we can introduce ourselves without any pressure. I’ll get to know your musical interests and you’ll have a chance to make sure I’m the right guitar teacher for you.

Guitar Lesson Pricing

I offer weekly 30-minute guitar, bass, and ukulele lessons for $160 per month, and weekly 60 minute lessons for $300 per month. Payment for the following month’s tuition is due at the last lesson of each month.

I accept cash and checks, all major credit and debit cards, and most major payment apps.

Referrals

If you recommend me to one of your friends and they sign up for lessons, you’ll get half off your next month of lessons once they’ve paid for their first month.* It’s just my way of thanking you for helping me grow my business.

*60-minute students referring 30-minute students receive a credit for half the value of 30-minute lessons.

Lesson Location

Music lessons are conducted either at my lesson studio in Portland, Oregon or via Zoom. I am located in the Pleasant Valley neighborhood in Southeast Portland.

Parental Involvement

Parents, I want you to be involved in your child’s musical development. Students whose parents participate in their music lessons progress at a faster rate because their parents are able to guide students’ home practice sessions.

As a parent, I also understand that you may want to ensure that your kids are being responsibly supervised.

I encourage parents and guardians of young students to be present at our guitar, bass, and ukulele lessons.

However, I do ask that parents who would like to attend their children’s music lessons assist me in creating a positive, distraction-free learning environment.

Make-Up Lessons and Cancellations

I understand that sometimes, things come up. As long as you give me more than 24 hours notice that you won’t be able to make it to your guitar lesson, we can set up a make-up lesson. Simply call, text, or email me, and we’ll set a new appointment that will work for both of us.

However, please be aware that lessons canceled with less than 24 hours notice will not be refunded or rescheduled, except in case of illness or genuine emergency.

Late Arrivals

I really want you to get your money’s worth from our lessons. Please make every effort to arrive on time and ready to learn. Late arrivals forfeit the missed portion of their lessons. Ten minutes past the lesson’s scheduled start time, the lesson is considered missed if no prior notice of late arrival is given.
