Your First Lesson Is Free

That way, we can introduce ourselves without any pressure. I’ll get to know your musical interests and get you started on some new material, and you’ll have a chance to make sure I’m the right guitar teacher for you.

Guitar Lesson Pricing

I offer weekly 30 minute guitar, and bass lessons for $25, and weekly 60 minute lessons for $40 each.

Payment Policy

Payment for the month’s lessons is due at the last lesson of each month. In order to make payment easy, I accept cash, checks, and all major credit and debit cards. Months with 5 lesson days cost the same as those with 4, so you don’t have to worry about your monthly costs fluctuating.

Guitar Student Referrals

If you refer a friend, you’ll get a free lesson, once they’ve taken four. It’s just my way of saying, “Thanks!”

Guitar Lesson Location

All guitar and bass lessons are conducted in my lesson studio in SE Portland, Oregon. I am located in the Creston neighborhood, at 4936 SE Boise St.

Parental Involvement in Guitar Lessons

If you are the parent of a young guitar student, I want you to be involved in your child’s musical development. Students whose parents participate in their guitar lessons progress at a faster rate. And as a parent myself, I know that you want to make sure your kids are being responsibly looked after.

That’s why I encourage parents and guardians of young students to be present at our guitar and bass lessons. I do ask that parents who would like to attend their children’s guitar lessons assist me in creating a positive, distraction-free learning environment.

Make-Up Guitar Lessons and Cancellations

I understand that sometimes, things come up. So as long as you give me more than 24 hours notice that you won’t be able to make it to your guitar lesson, we can set up a make-up lesson, schedule permitting. Simply call or email me, and we’ll set a new appointment that will work for both of us.

However, please be aware that guitar lessons missed with less than 24 hours notice will not be refunded or rescheduled. For credit toward the next month’s payment, lessons must be cancelled with at least 7 days notice.

Late Arrivals

If you’re a few minutes late to your guitar lesson, I will try to give you a few extra minutes at the end, schedule permitting. But, if I have another guitar lesson scheduled directly after yours, I may not be able to do so. I really want you to get maximum value our lessons. Please make every effort to arrive on time and ready to learn.

If you have any unanswered questions about guitar lessons, or pricing and policies, feel free to contact me. Now that we have the fine print out of the way, let’s make some music! Click here to sign up for guitar lessons.
