Your First Lesson is Free

Your first guitar lesson with me will be free. It will give us a chance to introduce ourselves, without any pressure. I’ll get to know your musical interests, and get you started on some new material, and you’ll have a chance to make sure I’m the right guitar teacher for you.

Guitar Lesson Pricing

I offer weekly 30 minute guitar, bass, and ukulele lessons for $120 per month, and weekly 60 minute lessons for for $180 per month. Payment for the following month’s tuition is due at the last lesson of each month.

In order to make payment easy, I accept cash and checks (preferred), and all major credit and debit cards.

Tuition is the same each month, even during months that contain the odd extra lesson.

Referrals

If you recommend me to one of your friends, and they sign up for lessons, you’ll get an entire month of guitar lessons for free lesson, once they’ve paid for their first month. It’s just my way of thanking you for helping me grow my business.

Lesson Location

All guitar and bass lessons are conducted in my home lesson studio in SE Portland, Oregon. I am located in the Creston neighborhood, at the intersection of SE 50th Ave. and Boise St.

Parental Involvement

If you are the parent of a young student, I want you to be involved in your child’s musical development. Students whose parents participate in their music lessons progress at a faster rate, because their parents are able to guide their home practice sessions more effectively. And, as a parent myself, I understand that you want to make sure your kids are being responsibly looked after. That is why I encourage parents and guardians of young students to be present at our guitar, bass, and ukulele lessons. I do ask that parents who would like to attend their children’s music lessons assist me in creating a positive, distraction-free learning environment.

Make-Up Lessons and Cancellations

I understand that sometimes, things come up. As long as you give me more than 24 hours notice that you won’t be able to make it to your guitar lesson, we can set up a make-up lesson. Simply call or email me, and we’ll set a new appointment that will work for both of us. However, please be aware that lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours notice will not be refunded or rescheduled, except in case of serious illness or emergency.

Late Arrivals

I really want you to get your money’s worth from our lessons. Please make every effort to arrive on time and ready to learn. Late arrivals forfeit the missed portion of their lessons.
